The Australian team were due to face Complexity in a best-of-five promotion clash, with the winner qualifying for the third edition of ECS.
However, TSM, who had been paired with Bee's Money Crew in the other promotion match, informed ECS officials that they were unable to field a lineup for the match, with Renegades being subsequently moved up to ECS as a result of their number-one seed from the Development League.
